Have you been charged with a crime in Monroe, WA and aren’t sure what to do next? Why not consider obtaining the services of an aggressive, competent Monroe criminal defense attorney to handle your case instead of relying on absent, overworked public defenders.
As a seasoned, well-rounded criminal defense lawyer, I can assure you that you’ve got the best criminal lawyer in Monroe who makes it a priority to look out for your best interests by fighting for your rights in court.
Not only do I believe in representing all my clients personally, but I also assure you will have access to me directly. I will provide you with my private cell phone number so that when you need to communicate with me, I will be the one answering your call, not a secretary or paralegal.
While other lawyers may deliberately take on as many cases as possible just to make more money, I limit my caseload to no more than 40 active litigations. Doing this allows me to give my clients the attention, time and legal consideration they deserve and expect from a truly professional defense attorney.
Whether you’re facing charges involving DUI, misdemeanors, firearm charges, drugs or felonies, I have the legal expertise and insight needed to support you as efficiently as possible through the complicated process of a criminal offense.
Call to schedule a free consultation with me today. During our discussion, I will discuss your charges, explain in non-legal terms what options you have, talk about the details of your case and suggest strategic approaches to your defense that may minimize the consequences of your criminal charge.
The city of Monroe has two courthouses located within its limits – the Municipal Courthouse and Snohomish County District Court’s (SCDC) Evergreen Division. The courthouse your case will be heard in will be determined by what law enforcement agency made the arrest.
If you were arrested by a Monroe city police officer and are only being charged with a misdemeanor or gross misdemeanor, your case will be held in the municipal courthouse located at city hall. Monroe does not have its own prosecutor’s office, instead it contracts with a private firm named Zachor & Thomas who prosecutes on behalf of numerous cities in the county.
However if your charges were arisen from an encounter with a Snohomish County Sheriff’s Deputy or a Washington State Trooper (common for DUI’s) your case will be held in the SCDC courthouse, since it will be considered a “state case”. SCDC’s Evergreen division oversees criminal cases arising from the county’s eastside.
Felony arrests are considered state cases too, except they are heard in the Snohomish County Superior Court located in downtown Everett. Both felony and misdemeanor state cases are prosecuted by the county’s prosecutors office also located in downtown Everett.
